Foel Uchaf Mohair and Weaving has been producing Mohair items for over 24 years in Wales.  Originally in North Wales and  for the last 14 years in West Wales.

We hope that you will enjoy our handwoven mohair products either as a gift for someone special or as a treat for yourself, which may eventually become a family heirloom.

Our Mohair products are produced on various looms including a floor loom, numerous sized frame looms or a triangular loom, using many styles of weaving.

 

As stated above we have been producing Mohair products in Wales for some time now.

It all started with one goat and the numbers increased steadily over the years.  What does one do with all their fleeces ? - spin, knit ,weave etc.  Thus the business was born.

I now concentrate upon weaving as I love it and enjoy personally producing the most wonderful items from this luxurious fibre.

Every item is different.  It is such a wonderfully rewarding experience watching the item develop and then the client's reaction upon seeing the finished article.

The Mohair items are mainly produced to order. However, I do have a dislay of various items at my Craft Centre --West Wales Crafts at the Coach House,Pentre Road, St Clears, Carmarthenshire.

I was also a founder member of the group  --- Crafts from Carmarthenshire.

This group was established to promote the skills and talents of the many craftspeople in Carmarthenshire together with helping to establish crafts as a career prospect for others both young and not so young.  Please contact
